The Simple Woman's Daybook - 9/22/08

For Today...

Outside my Window...a hint of fall color and morning turning into day.

I am thinking...that it's amazing my daughter went back to sleep this morning giving me some quiet time.

From the learning rooms...a bookshelf full of books that I hope to get to this year, but we've decided to relax and enjoy life and learning along the way...so if we don't get to them, oh well!

I am thankful for...my health this morning as all that's left of the pneumonia is a lingering a cough...and I'm even more thankful that my two babies have so far made it through 5 weeks of a pneumonia-filled house without getting sick...IMO, a miracle!

From the kitchen...a packed-full pantry and fridge after a huge shopping trip yesterday...how blessed I am!

I am wearing...sweats and a t-shirt (just got done working out on my Total Gym)

I am reading...Eating For Life by Bill Phillips and The Natural Home: Living The Simple Life by Tricia Foley

I am hoping...for a productive week around the house, and lots of snuggle time with the kids.

I am creating...a cute bag and an even cuter apron for my daughter, curtains for my French doors, and curtains for the upstairs closets.

I am hearing...roosters, box fans, and the TV in the background.

Around the house...all of the kids are asleep at the same time!

One of my favorite things...when summer starts to turn to fall and the air turns crisp...it's as renewing as spring after a long winter!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...none! I will take things as they come this week and try to not put any pressure on myself!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

This is Benjamin when he was 4 years old on his great grandma's boat in Florida. I can't believe this was 4 years ago! He looks soooo little!

Blessings!
Brandi

Oh I do hope you make a full recovery soon. How wonderful that the little ones did not get so sick. We had the same here 2 years ago: my son, then my husband got pneumonia, but the other little ones just had a bad cold. I had nothing.
